Now We’re Cooking was conceived directly from my clinical practice and a moment that changed everything. A woman in her 70's came to me navigating intimacy in a new relationship after many years, and her questions revealed a gap I couldn’t ignore. What followed was an honest, eye-opening conversation about how our bodies change over time and why intimacy sometimes needs a different approach.

That experience sparked the realization that people of all ages need clear, compassionate information about sex, intimacy, and connection, especially older adults and couples rediscovering one another after life transitions. I began writing Now We’re Cooking in the summer of 2019 to meet that need.

The book is filled with “tasty bites” of insight for readers ranging from young adults to those well into their later years. Written with warmth, clarity, and a touch of humor, it invites open conversation, deeper understanding, and a more thoughtful approach to intimacy at every stage of life.
